Suddenly, a video message popped up on the screen. It was from the one and only Mohanlal, wishing Big B a happy birthday. In his message, Mohanlal called Bachchan an “endless source of inspiration” and highlighted his incredible “discipline, humility and strength.”

After the heartfelt video, Bachchan turned to his guests and just couldn’t hold back his own admiration for the Malayalam superstar. He started by calling Mohanlal a “great actor.”

But he didn’t stop there. Here’s the thing, he got incredibly specific about what makes Mohanlal so special. “Whichever role you give him, his face is God gifted,” Bachchan explained. “Every kind of emotion comes just by putting his face. He does not have to do anything, and it comes through correctly.”

Just let that sink in. One of the most celebrated actors on the planet is saying another is so naturally talented that he barely has to try. That’s some serious respect right there.

Javed Akhtar immediately chimed in, adding that Mohanlal had recently received the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, calling the honor “well deserved.”

Look, this wasn’t some sudden realization for Bachchan. His deep respect for Mohanlal’s craft goes way, way back.

About 15 years ago, in an interview, he expressed a very similar sentiment. He had called Mohanlal “one of the finest actors in the country” and described him as a “relaxed and effortless” performer.

So, this powerful moment on KBC wasn’t just a casual compliment exchanged on a birthday. It was Bachchan doubling down on a belief he has held for over a decade, a powerful acknowledgment of the raw, natural talent that Mohanlal brings to every single role.
