You’ve heard Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic “Agneepath” dialogue a thousand times. But have you ever heard it with a hilarious KBC twist involving Rs 7.5 lakh? Yeah, that just happened.

Actor-director Rishab Shetty, fresh off his megahit “Kantara: Chapter 1,” recently appeared as a guest on Kaun Banega Crorepati 17. During the show, he made a special request to Big B. He wanted to hear the legendary dialogue from the 1990 cult classic, “Agneepath.”

Of course, Amitabh Bachchan obliged. But he didn’t just recite it. He remixed it for the hot seat.

Agneepath, But With a Price Tag

Instead of the intense original, Bachchan looked at Shetty and delivered a version perfect for KBC. He boomed, “Rishab Shetty Sir, gyarvha prashn tumhare screen pe daalta hai, abhi dekho. Saat lakh, pachas hazaar rupaye, isme se pachas hazaar tumhara, saat laakh humara.”

Let that sink in. He turned one of Hindi cinema’s most powerful lines into a playful demand for the prize money. The dialogue basically translates to: “Mr. Rishab Shetty, the eleventh question is on your screen. Out of Rs 7,50,000, fifty thousand is yours, and seven lakh is mine.” Classic Big B.

A Gift and a Funny Warning

The fun didn’t stop there. Rishab Shetty came bearing a gift for the host, presenting him with a traditional veshti/lungi. It was a sweet gesture, but Bachchan’s reaction was pure gold.

He accepted the gift and said he would definitely wear it, but then he added a hilarious warning. He joked that if the veshti were to “move a bit, the matter would become international.” You can just imagine the studio audience erupting in laughter.

This all happened as promos for the episode started hitting Sony Entertainment Television’s Instagram around October 14, 2025, just after Shetty’s film “Kantara: Chapter 1” released on October 2, 2025. Bachchan even took a moment to praise the movie, calling it a megahit.
