She’s one of the most iconic dancers in the business, but at home, she’s just mom. And her son, Arhaan Khan, doesn’t hold back. At a recent event in Mumbai for her new song, Malaika shared that Arhaan is actually her “biggest critic”.

It’s that classic family dynamic, isn’t it? He’ll apparently watch her and just tease her, saying, “Please, you can’t dance like that.” Can you even imagine hearing that?

But He’s Still Her Biggest Fan

Here’s the thing, though. It all seems to come from a place of love. Malaika also gushed that Arhaan is a “fabulous dancer” himself. She even said she’s grateful he inherited her “dancing genes.”

In fact, his all-time favorite song she’s ever performed is the legendary “Munni Badnaam Hui.” Look, he even learns new dance steps and tries to get his mom to do them with him. How sweet is that?

A “Dangerous” New Dance Number

This whole conversation came up because Malaika is back with a full-fledged dance number after years. She was at the launch for her new track, “Poison Baby,” from the upcoming film “Thamma.”

She described performing the song as “electric” and said she wanted the performance to feel “dangerous, beautiful, and untamed.” That sounds intense. This new track is part of the fifth movie in Maddock’s horror-comedy universe.

So, you’ll be able to see the dance your own kids might critique soon. The film, “Thamma,” also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana and is scheduled for release on October 21, right around Diwali.
